Nutrition Courses for the home, Insititutional Catering and Physical Activities and Health Eating.

We offer the following Nutrition and Health Eating Courses from the RSPH and HABC awarding bodies.

RSPH LEVEL1 AWARD IN NUTRITION FOR HEALTH.

This qualification is for those who wish to obtain a basic knowledge and understanding of human nutrition and how it affects health. Its objective is to provide learners with a basic knowledge of human nutrition and equip them with an awareness of the importance of healthy eating.The qualification provides an introduction to the importance and principles of a well-balanced diet, current public health guidance on healthy eating and the relationship between diet and health.


RSPH LEVEL 2 AWARD IN NUTRITION FOR HEALTH.

This qualification covers the key role of nutrition in health and wellbeing. Its objective is to provide learners with knowledge and understanding of the relationship between diet and health and wellbeing, as well as the role of food labelling and other factors in food choices.It will equip learners with an awareness of the importance of healthy eating and the need to provide special diets/foods for specific clients.

RSPH LEVEL 3 AWARD IN NUTRITION FOR HEALTH.

This qualification is suitable for people working in catering, leisure sectors, and others who are in a position to promote healthy eating. It is also relevant to health and teaching professionals who might have a role in the healthy eating or preparation of meals. menus and diet

RSPH LEVEL 4 CERTIFICATE IN NUTRITION.

The learning outcomes include coverage of the nutritional requirements for a healthy diet, the effect of diet on health and the importance of hydration.Learners will take a single unit, Principles of Nutrition, but may add additional units at a later date to obtain the RSPH Level 4 Certificate in Nutrition for Institutional Food Services or the RSPH Level 4 Certificate in Nutrition for Physical Activity and Sport

RSPH LEVEL 4 CERTIFICATE IN NUTRITION FOR PHYSICAL ACTIVITY AND SPORT.

The learning outcomes include coverage of the nutritional requirements for a healthy diet, the effect of diet on health and the importance of hydration. These principles are then applied to fulfilling the dietary requirements for physical activity and sport.The qualification is divided into two units: Principles of Nutrition and Nutrition for Physical Activity and Sport. The qualification will be awarded to any learner who attains the learning outcomes for these units.

RSPH LEVEL 4 CERTIFICATE IN NUTRITION FOR INSTITUTIONAL FOOD SERVICES.

The learning outcomes include coverage of the nutritional requirements for a healthy diet, the effect of diet on health and the importance of hydration. These principles are then applied to fulfilling the dietary requirements for individuals utilising the catering services of a particular institutional food service.Learners will take two units: Principles of Nutrition and one of the Nutrition for Institutional Food Services units which is applicable to their needs. The qualification will be awarded to any learner who attains the learning outcomes for these units.
